Current aims:

• Uncomplicate the inkey() code, splitting into multiple functions
• Add a "buttons" interface so that frontends can provide buttons, rather than trying to target tiny bits of text

Mouse/pointing device support

• right-click to target the selected grid with command chosen from a context menu (hmmmm)
• display what is in a grid that the pointer is over in some kind of window status bar
