Monster status

The colour information for the monster damage status is:

• Green: Unhurt
• Yellow: Slightly wounded
• Orange: Wounded
• Red: Badly wounded
• Dark Red: Almost dead

• Dark Blue: Asleep
• Bright Blue: Stunned
• Brown: Confused
• Purple: Afraid

Monsters are often asleep when discovered, and the better your character's stealth, the better the chances they stay that way while a character sneaks up on them.

Monsters can become confused, like characters, due to magical attacks.

Stunning can also be due to attacks or spells, as for characters.

Monsters become afraid when severely wounded - i.e. close to death, or when dealt a single massive blow.

Wounds

• Graze (yellow text)
• Light Cut (yellow)
• Bad Cut (orange)
• Nasty Cut (orange)
• Severe Cut (red)
• Deep Gash
• Mortal Wound

Hunger

The progression of Hunger flags is as follows:

• Gorged (dark green text)
• Full (green)
• (blank)
• Hungry (yellow)
• Weak (orange)
• Weak (red)
