Here you can create a new user account, which will allow you to store some preferences, ensure that only your changes are marked with your username, and request notification of changes to pages.

An email address is not compulsory, but it allows changes of password to be sent to you if you forget your old one. The account will be activated straightaway, but an email will be sent to the given address to confirm it before notifications or password changes will be sent to it.

The username must be a valid page name for the wiki, e.g. FirstnameLastname. Real names are preferred over aliases on most wikis, this one included.
